So I applied with commonapp under the school of arts & sciences, however after some reading, I want to go into the Elliot school of international affairs. Will they easily let me study in this school if I want to switch or will I have to apply for it??

I am in the same boat except that I applied SMPA and I was placed into CCAS ( typical) now I want Elliot. I spoke to someone I know who is a freshman in CCAS and she said that she is planning on transfering into SMPA ( which you can’t do automatically) but that she also knows that GW ususally requires you to take classes in the college you were offered admissions to and then transfer. I’m not sure about when though, timing I would assume after 1st semester… maybe not until the end of Freshman year. I think that the transfer process is a simple form that you fill out. I don’t think that there is an essay to write.
