Princeton attached theirs at the bottom of the letter, but how do I access Harvard's? I was on the financial aid portal, but they demand a Harvard ID, which I don't think I have.

Last year, I got it in mail :)? In the email, they talked about it for us, I think. From NJ I see? I have several friends there…congrats!~

Many thanks!

How long exactly does it take our decisions to reach us via mail? Will we have them by Saturday?

Have you browsed the conversation from the thread below?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/harvard-university/896332-uhh-i-still-havent-gotten-my-email.html

^ Yes, and it says nothing about when our letters will be arriving. Anyone here have any idea?

I badly wanna see my fin aid too. Even the fastest courier services take a week to reach me. ugh.

Harvard ambiguously claims “a few days.” I know, it definitely does not brighten my outlook either.

Is it possible to see it for waitlisted students?

Could some people post their stats so that I could get an idea of how much financial aid I would have receive?

@ Mifune: I know I would have paid an extra 10 bucks to have it air mailed to me. Seriously. I want to know, pronto.

I wish that Harvard utilized a student portal. That way, our viewing the decision would be based on personal initiative rather than falling victim to technical difficulties.

^ I agree. I think I’m just going to wait for my decision to arrive in the mail. I really don’t want to have to take it over the phone.

I prefer the sooner notification, personally. I will call them during school tomorrow after first period although I will continue to check throughout tonight and into the morning.

Guys - maybe I’m just technologically INCAPABLE, but I cannot for the life of me get the Harvard myHarvard site to work. It’s asking for a harvardID - which I don’t have?

can someone take me through the steps on accessing the admits site?

(which will also give me the fin aid info!)

EDIT: Ahh. I guess I’m in the same boat as everyone else. This is going to be crazy, because it’ll take roughly a week for the letter to reach me (intl student) and by which point I might not be in Sydney any more!

EDIT AGAIN: Hey hey, the admits site finally works! WHOO!

Congratulations to you, theskylitup! I do not have the slightest idea regarding your concern, though.

I’m afraid im in the same position as all of you are… i got the acceptance email (which bizarrely was the most simple admissions decision process from all my unis) and now I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA how to access my financial aid data. I’ve been directed to the Harvard University PIN website (the link to which was wierdly labelled “check out myharvard”) where they want my login ID… which i never was given or was asked to get, to the best of my knowledge. If anyone has any insight it would be much appreciated.

As an international student i’ll probably have to wait over a week for the letter to come. I’ve heard its supposed to be included there or smthg.

well since the admitted students portal is not yet open its natural that you have these questions. first, congratulations to all of you who got accepted! regarding the PIN, you will receive a letter in the admissions package that was sent to you. the letter will explain the instructions on how to set-up your HUID PIN and your email account. note that this process is not fully automatic and takes processing time. as for the financial aid part, i really can’t help you there, but I do know the following. once you get your harvard id. you can sign in to your MyHarvard account and from there go to campus resources. when you scroll down the page there should be a section containing information regarding your financial aid. also, im pretty sure there’s a letter containing information regarding your financial aid in the admissions package. the mass emails are probably generic and they are either accepted, wailisted or rejected emails. The admissions package will be more pesonalized and shud contain the information you are looking for. also, you accept your offer of admission online and there is no deposit required.

The Financial Aid notification is in your acceptance packet which you receive in the mail. My daughter got hers the morning after her acceptance email. We live in New England.

My God, mail on Good Friday? Lucky. I can only imagine how long it’ll take to get through customs…

I’m an international student. Can anyone tell me whether Harvard sends it by normal mail or courier (Fedex, DHL, etc.)? If its courier, can I ask them for my tracking ID?
