hey i was just wondering after i got accepted by Early Decision, but i appied to 8 university before the letter came. How do I contact the other universities that they can stop considering me as a canadiate.

Call admissions office. Congrats on the ED Btw. Where did you get into?

Either call or send a formal letter(not an email) to the admissions office notifying them that you would like to withdraw your application.

i got into NYU stern

Congrats.

What were your stas by the way vector? if you dont mind me asking.

Whats wrong with sending an email? Plenty of people including me (my counselor told me so) sent emails.

My guess is that emails are more easily overlooked than snail mail. Sending a letter to all schools (and having your GC put a copy in your HS file) is a good idea.

I have something to tack onto this, I never sent the supplements or payments for the two RD schools that I actually submitted by accident... Since these applications are overwhelmingly incomplete, do I even need to withdraw them now that I got in ED?

Like katie, my applications are also incomplete. For some of them, I didn't even send anything but I know for a fact that my school sent my transcript and my teachers mailed their recs so I know that a file was opened. Should I tell them to close it?

It's only polite to do so. Otherwise, some poor clerk will have to keep going into your file, noting it's incomplete, putting it away to check later or send you an e-mail that something's missing, check it again, etc.

It takes no time to withdraw the application.
