Accepted by UCB but missing one class to get full IGETC

Hi guys,
I got accepted by UCB for the College of letter and science and they will not accept Partial IGETC nor do they allow students to take summer class to finish the IGETC. I was just told by my Community College that I was not able to have full IGETC.
The class that I took for Area 3B in 2014 was not met the criteria for the years after 2010. I know it is all my fault and I overlooked the requirements. But I am not able to accept that my admission will be rescind without doing anything.
It seems like that it is possible for admission to extend the deadline for me by summer 2016 to finish the IGETC. How should I persuade admission to giving me the chance? Do you guys think it is possible?

It is entirely possible that many or even all of the L&S requirements that IGETC could substitute for are fulfilled by the courses you took. Compare the list of L&S requirements at https://ls.berkeley.edu/advising/degree-requirements and see if the courses you took match up in ASSIST to courses fulfilling those requirements.

@ucbalumnus The classes that I took meet the requirement of Arts and Science, Biological Science,Historical Science, Physical Science and Social and Behavioral Science, but there are still two courses left for International Studies and Philosophy and Values. Do you think it will works?

Could you take the two remaining breadth courses, along with your remaining major courses (if they do not fulfill those categories), after transfer?

@ucbalumnus I hope so. But I am worried they would rescind my admission because I didn’t finish IGETC or L&S. Will they allow me to finish my IGETC by summer 2016? Is that possible?

You may want to ask directly if IGETC is an admissions issue for you.
