blackdream, what was ur GPA and Major?

I am a freshman right out of highschool finishing up my first year of CC.

GPA: 4.0
Major: Biochem + Cell bio
School: Miur
Lacking two major classes, no IGTEC.
impressive ECs.

u transfered after one year?

nice

Blackdream, u finished physics4a-c, bio, and chem, math1a-1d series in 1 yr? damn, thatz fast...

all math, physics, chem, bio sequence has been finished.

and i found time to squeeze in a little human sexuality:)

which is a must

It's doable...but not by me. BD, that is very impressive to do all that in one year, AND getting a 4.0 as well. If I had attempted such a feat I would have punched myself in the head and ran naked & painted green through the campus half way into the second quarter. =P

1st. I have a lot of APs and I only have 20 units per quarter. Clig, one of the goer here, is INHUMANE! He can probably cover 90 quarter units in one year WITHOUT AP.

2nd. I don't have a girlfriend, this does gets lonely sometimes (especially when I review midterms for the sexuality class), but without someone constantly checking your cellphone, calling you, and do stuff, it does give you somewhat more freedom. I have a friend who had a 4.0, and got a gf last quarter. Guess what? He screwed his way (no pun intended) to a 3.0, 4 classes, all B.

3rd: Human sexuality is a MUST, so is an intro level engineering class. I found an intro level engineering class help me SO MUCH.

When is transfer admit day? I still haven't heard anything from SD, but I'm expecting to get in (well, I was before waiting so long...) and I want to go to check it out.

UCSD Transfer Admit Day
Saturday, May 14, 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

I know they have facts and figures for the entire school but is there facts, figures, and stats for each of the 6 colleges?

Who is going to UCSD for sure?!

I'm pretty set on going to UCSD. I applied to UCB and UCLA but I have a low GPA/not many extracurriculars so my chances of getting in are slim.

transfer admit day reservations page is now open.

Wow, reservations. If only every admit knew there status! Sigh...

hey everyone, I was wondering if someone can give me their opinion on something. On the acceptance website for UCSD, there is a FAQ sheet and on it, it states that accepted students should check with their admission counselors to see if taking summer school might jeopardize their admissions. Well I call and asked, and they told to not go over 135 units or whatevers because that's senior standing, and that could revoke my admissions. Then they tell me if I take summer school, don't call it to their attention. So what am I suppose to do? Do I take the risk?

kenshin, if you have too many units they can revoke your admission, but summer school won't show up on your transcript when you send it in. They have no way of knowing unless you tell them or if you send in your transcript after you've completed the summer class.

P.S. I say take the risk. They won't know unless you try to transfer your summer units to UCSD, and it won't matter unless you have too many units in the end.

Then I just transfer it later? like after I attend UCSD for 5 weeks?
