Accepted: Can you see preliminary financial aid award

For those of you who are accepted can you see your preliminary financial aid award?

Nope I can’t.

The financial aid letter comes later, somewhere around mid/late-April, if I recall correctly.

at the “chancellor reception” near LAX in Los angeles, the FA rep from UCSB told the accepted new students that preliminary FA awards should be available at the end of March.

nice! (: i got the prelim fa awards from ucd and it was a very very nice one. hopefully ucsb offers something of the sort.

Same here, UCD’s FA was great. I hope the same for UCSB.

would be nice if our unofficial financial aid letters were posted at the end of march, as the above poster states. i did notice today on the UCSB financial aid website that for transfer students it states:

“Newly admitted transfers will be sent an e-mail in May informing them to view their Unofficial Financial Aid Eligibility Letter, which will assist them in their admissions decision.”

for those of you who are low income students, i do believe that the aid will be sufficient for attendance and loans will make up a portion of the Cost of Admission if you need them. this is for california residents via the Blue and Gold plan. in my case it will be cheaper to attend UCSB than my current CCC. what a relief.

found it here, log in first and then try this link:

My D has her prelim avalable to look at. More loans than I hoped for but 0 out of pocket can not complain. Mess around on the web site it was not easy to find.

Is there a chancellors scholarship? I got invited to the reception but on my FA page it says $0 in grants and scholarships

Sorry, I’m technologically challenged. Does anyone know what to click after going onto northbeach’s link?

^ diana3, you can just scroll down and you will see this posted:

Newly admitted freshmen will be sent an e-mail in April informing them to view their Unofficial Financial Aid Eligibility Letter, which will assist them in their admissions decision
