Woo-hoo!!

congrats you lucky son of a gun =P

Why didn't you apply to SHC?

they probably did, Schreyer's app isn't due till the 30th

Did you know that a descision was make by the message on the site?

Yes I recieved that message two days ago, my package came today.
And I am unsure as to whether I will apply to SHC. I don't feel like writing any more essays and asking more teachers for recs. :P

beaston105, congrats! Now, couple questions.
- When did you apply?
- This is accepted at University Park, right?
- What school and major?

beaston - Congratulations! Now get your stuff together and apply to SHC. Money, small classes, early registration, study abroad grants, lots of perks. All good things, especially for a big school. It's worth a shot. Sometimes, you end up going to your safety, so why not try to get the best deal possible?

I got in too! I got into UP for the College of Liberal Arts. This feels awesome.

I got two questions. The FAFSA is all that is required for regular scholarships, right? And the only scholarships that I apply for separately are the private ones, and they're the ones that have to suit me, right?

Sometimes scholarship applications in the various colleges are buried in the site of that particular college. Get on the website of the college of liberal arts and search it for scholarships just in case.

Hey beaston105, when you say that you "recieved" a message before your package, do you mean a message that was on-line that you could track? Or did you get an e-mail or seperate letter. StrawberryMayo - this question is for you, too. In other words, is there a web site that i can go to to check myself?

https://www.admissions.psu.edu/my_admissions/login/login.cfm only says "Your application has been received and is being reviewed. Thank you for applying to Penn State"

Son received his acceptance packet yesterday to the college of engineering. To answer your questions no it wasn't updated online. He received it in the mail.

Congrats guys, hopefully I'll be joining you soon enough!

I got in too (engineering ) !!! once again it was a safety but im in somewhere

Mario244: I had that message that you are referring to for several months, but then two days before I got my acceptance package from PSU, it changed to something along the lines of "PSU has reached a decision, you will recieve it by mail within two weeks."

Gdad: I applied around August 25, all my materials were probably in around early/mid September. I got into University Park, College of Liberal Arts w/ an undecided major.

hey, for the people who got in, could you put up your stats/info? I wanna see if theres a pattern, like uber leetness in all of you like beaston...lol

i got in on friday to Eberly college of science for Math

its a safety but at least its something

GPA- 3.703 UW, 4.135W
ACT-33
SAT-2200 (780M, 660R, 760W)

now to apply to SHC and hopefully get in. anybody know the acceptance rate to SHC and when do you hear back?

I got my acceptance letter on Saturday!!!!

SAT: 2290
770 CR
800 M
720 W

GPA: 4.0UW 4.27W

I submitted my app in mid-October, but sent my October SATs, which they probably didn't recieve until a week or two ago. I applied to engineering, and I'm in-state. I'm also applying to SHC but just haven't finished the app yet.

I hope I can get in with a 3.4 unweighted (10 AP's) and a 25 ACT. I hate AP classes and tests. Any chance for Fall or Summer term?

ACT is a little low. You definitely have a chance though
