Accepted - Class of 2014

I got my acceptance letter in the mail on Tuesday! I will be attending Wake Forest next fall! Any other class of 2014 students already know they're been accepted?

wow that’s pretty impressive. class of 2013 haven’t even moved-in yet!

Congratulations, ansley1018!

Would you mind sharing your stats?

Congratulations!

how long did it take once your app was complete?

and congrats btw

Congrats ansley! :)

Congratulations! I have to say, though, that I am confused. How is this possible? Isn’t this earlier than early decision?

if you don’t mind me asking, what size was the envelope they sent you?!

thanks!
J

Class of 2014…that’s crazy. Congrats!

bsw, I’m pretty sure that you can submit your app as soon as you finish your junior year for early decision, and it’s sort of on a rolling basis.

Wow! Thanks everyone, sorry I’ve been so slow to respond.

DougBetsy -
I got a 2010 on the SAT (720 - math, 630 - critical reading, 660 - writing)
I haven’t taken the ACT
I am ranked 3 out of about 390 students at my school
I have an approximate weighted GPA of 4.6
I’ve participated in FCA, Key Club, Honors Society, Varsity Tennis
I have consistently taken AP/Honors courses
WF did ask for my senior schedule which is:
Honors Latin 3, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Biology (year-long), AP English 4, AP Government & Politics, Internship

jrtowles46 - it only a little over 4 weeks to get a response from WF, my application became complete on July 9 and I got my acceptance letter on August 11

bswsoccermom - juba2jive is right, I applied as soon as I completed my junior year and WF uses a rolling basis policy so once my application was complete (interview, application, secondary forms) I only had to wait 4-6 weeks.

Again, thanks everyone!

Thanks for the info, ansley1018. Very impressive stats.

Oh wow thats great, I plan to apply to Wake Forest University… no intentions on sending test scores though.

Best of luck, coolbrezze! :)

thanks for the info. one more thing though:

if you don’t mind me asking, what size was the envelope they sent you?!

thanks!
J

Wow, congratulations on such an early acceptance! I guess you won’t have a ton of worrying to do senior year, which is a VERY good thing!

jrtowles46 - it was actually a large envelope like you would expect an acceptance letter to come in, but there was only a letter, a deposit slip and a couple of maps inside, not too much info.

thanks for the info!
J

Congrats Ashley on your early admit!!! Would you, or anybody, provide a bit of info on the interview at Wake? Thanks!

Dmocha -
The interview process went really well for me. My interviewer was a very nice woman and we had more of a conversation than an interview. We talked about basic things (school, extracurriculars, etc.) It really wasn’t bad at all. I didn’t do much to prepare myself because I knew that would only stress me out more. I did do some thinking about my own personal strengths/weaknesses, why I wanted to go to WF and basic stuff like that. I had a great interview experience though and it’s definitely nothing to stress out about!
