Accepted Cornell of Spring 09'

I'm getting confused of who's accepted and who's not in the old thread. Talk about Cornell related things here and, if you want, introduce yourself!

I'm accepted to CAS majoring in Chemistry and I'm a local resident of Ithaca. Please to meet you.

Stats? Please?!

You can find my stats in this thread:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/574027-who-s-applying-spring-transfer-09-cornell-8.html

I prefer that this thread not be a stat sharing thread, rather a get-to-know-each-other thread

Try the Cornell forum.

I think five people have been accepted so far:

transferstudent9
stm167
Jset1989
mhawkjr
zakaqel

There are a few people who are waiting to hear back. Hopefully we can get some more names on the above list :).

So, is everyone done all of their finals? My finals start next next monday.

Finals next tues and thurs for me. Plus a research paper. Good luck everybody

Why is it that I received a financial aid package? I thought we were way past the due date.

Hey, how do we register for housing? When I logged in (from the "apply for housing" link on the side) it kept showing errors.

Do we use our app09 ID or our normal one? I tried both, neither worked.

Hey Darkstar, Did you sign in on this page:

https://cuweblogin.cit.cornell.edu/cuwl-cgi/login2.cgi?sessID=pend54171147&reason=noCookie&allowGuest=last&AltUrl=&CustMsg=<font%20size="3"%20color="blue">Applicants:%20Use%20your%20ApplicantID&origURL=https://housingweb.campuslife.cornell.edu:443/authenticated/SignInCornell.aspx</font%20size="3"%20color="blue">

Yesterday, I tried signing in on another page specific to Cornell Students and it wouldn't let me in. You should just use your Net-ID

Transferstudent:

I read on the finaid website that there are no "real deadlines". They just say that it is best if you send all your materials by Nov. 1, so that you can recieve an estimate ASAP. They will give you a financial aid estimate whenever you submit all the required documents.

Did you have to activate your NetID first?

Wait, you didn't activate your NetID? It's the same ID you used to check if all of your materials were in/decisions.

It's the "app09-xxxx" looking thingy....

Oh yeah, I did that. That's technically our applicantID.

When I enter it, it says "Either your session has timed out or you are not currently logged in."

umm...I think that's a technical glitch. You probably didn't log in properly the first time. I would close the browser and try logging in again. I don't know....

Yeah, I tried that. I called housing and I got the answering machine.

Oh well, I'll figure it out eventually. Thanks for the help.

Have you guys all gotten your package in the mail yet? How long after being accepted did you get it? Also, what about financial aid?

Nope. I'm still waiting for both.

I'm still having that same problem also, DarkStar. And I haven't gotten anything in the mail yet, but probably has a lot to do with the fact I am in Florida and it takes longer.

Hey guys, just to continue what transferstudent was trying to start with this thread.. I got accepted to ILR as is probably obvious by now from our other thread, and I'm from north jersey.

I was accepted online on friday and my package was overnighted to me for saturday. I wonder how much money colleges spend on postage alone. I know Bentley spent over $25 of postage for me and I ended up not even going there.

Nicely done OP, always good to see someone get accepted at an elite school with a not-so-stellar HS record. Good luck at Cornell.
