You have to activate your NetID on your own. CIT will be sending you that information.

Please check out and contribute to this thread! We could all use your opinion.

So. I applied for Housing yesterday. Seems that they put our names on the database at the beginning of each week. I got my assignment this morning. Yes! It was a double in Cascadilla Hall. Though it seems people are still in the process of getting assignments. I still have no roomie.

Btw, did CIT send any NetIDs yet?

I've told few people at my current school. I hate to brag, but I guess the people I do tell love to brag for me, though. (I just bragged, didn't I? heh. :P)

But anyways, I have told my closest friends and trusted advisors, and they were happy for me. Real good news, they said. It's not been so hard, since community college life lacks a certain level of personal intimacy that most universities, with their dorms and social permeation, have.

They'll have to find a good math tutor to fill my post, but I'm sure they can find that.

I received my credit evaluation today. It was very general and was not major specific. My expected graduation date is JAN 2011. lol..I get to graduate a semester early. The courses that we are currently taking are not included in the credit evaluation, right? I wonder how that will be sorted out after we transfer...

Does anyone know where we get our updated transcripts sent? Already have my grades and want to get that taken care of.

Haha mathemagicia, I completely know what you mean with other people bragging for you.. My girlfriend's status on facebook for an entire weeks was that I got into Cornell. But yeah, luckily being at community college this semester I didn't have to tell too many people and I just kind of snuck out of UMD last year without letting everyone know I wouldn't be back..oh well. As for you not having a roommate yet, I think that could be because someone already lives there as seems to be the case in the suite that I am in. It only shows me my name and 1 other, even though its a 5 person suite, and I think it is because the other 3 are kids who are there from last semester.

Hermanns, I just asked Ian the other day and he said 216 Ives Hall

nice zak, I wish my credit evaluation came too. Right now i'm realllllly wishing for some nice FA so I can room.

Oh, our current courses aren't included? I figured they would just assume we passed them and give us the appropriate credit temporarily.

And yeah, the final transcript goes to our individual colleges, although mine won't be ready to send until the first week of January.

Transferstudent9:

Dude, I feel your pain. I'm just glad my "to do" list says everything is complete. It's all about waiting now.

Because I'm Canadian, I have a lot of other paperword to do as well.

DarkStar:

I'm not sure. Did they count this semesters classes? If they did, that would suck because that would mean I lost 19 credits.

Same here. My "to do" list was updated beginning of last week. The FA ought to be coming soon...I wanna see how much of the financial burden is taken off of my 'rents and me.

About the credit eval:
As far as I know, I've only taken Gen. Chem I, and it's on my credit eval for some reason. I guess there will be a more thorough look at our courses once the final transcript is received.

Just a personal note:
Uggggh, I hope they still let me go, because I am at risk for 3 B's this semester out of my 5 classes.

stm167:
Thanks for clearing that up for me. Yeah, that seems to be the case, then. I had forgotten that we weren't the only ones who would occupy transfer housing.

Another note to all of ya:
I'm assuming all of ya have Facebook? If so, where can I find ya. Are you all in the group Zak made?

I contacted the people who do the Credit evaluation and they said that they did include this semester's courses. They also said that some courses may not have been added because there isn't enough information for it to go under distribution. They said you should send them the course descriptions ASAP.

Math:

Getting three B's should be fine. Besides, I think it's very unlikely that they tell to leave Cornell once you're there(I doubt they'll review your transcript before spring starts).

Oh yeah...and we have to be at Cornell 3 weeks from now..anyone pumped?

Yes, very pumped!

Has anybody registered for any classes? I just got back from Rochester and was finally able to look at my case

We register during orientation, I don't think anyone would have been able to register yet.

You guys know where you're living yet?

Darkstar:

Transfers can register through pre-enrollment. I don't know what the point of it is, but you can send in a list of the courses you would like to take by Jan 5th. This information is sent with your course evaluation.

I think I'm just going to register during orientation.

Pre-enrollment was nice when I came in a transfer because I could ensure I got classes I would need. Registering during add/drop can be hectic because many people are changing their schedule and you might get shut out. It's not definite though....not trying to discourage anyone. Do what you want to do :-)
