<p>Transfering from another state school is very difficult as only about 10 percent of applicants from other state schools get accepted. That being said you have a very strong GPA and should feel good. What is your pre-professional GPA?</p>

<p>I applied in early December, still no word.
I guess I will find out after the freshmen get their decision tomorrow…? That’s not a good sign.</p>

<p>DayFlori: I applied in September! Just because you haven’t heard from the college you applied to doesn’t mean it’s a bad sign. Thousands of applicants apply and I’m assuming admissions will get back to people later than expected. It also depends on the deadline. I called UF and they said that they don’t review your application until the deadline is reached.</p>

<p>no one should be getting discouraged this early - check last year’s transfer thread… a lot of people weren’t hearing back til April (and May in my case). Looks like they’re getting back to some earlier this year which is good but it certainly doesn’t mean anything bad for anyone if they haven’t heard yet!</p>

<p>You will most likely need an overall GPA of 3.5 ish and a pre-professional GPA of 3.7 or higher.</p>

<p>Congrats julius. I too applied to CLAS, hopefully you finding out so soon means I might too. Then again, I applied for Fall. Hopefully that doesn’t mean I’ll find out too much later than the summer term applicants.</p>

<p>I asked a academic adviser yesterday when decisions for the fall transfers would be coming out. She said, “The committee is still looking at Summer, and will start reviewing Fall students after March 1st”. So, hopefully we’ll get our decisions by next week. Hopefully haha.</p>

<p>Btw, this was a CALS adviser.</p>

<p>That would be nice, but I’m not holding my breath… haha! I originally heard that CLAS wouldn’t be giving out any decisions until after March 25th, but I’m hoping it will be sooner now that more and more people are receiving their decisions.</p>

<p>No, you can only begin classes for the term you applied for.</p>
