eryjus, I did receive the admittance email. I the link for the SAS and a link for the admitted student page on Fordham’s website, but nothing for the official student portal. I later got an email inviting me to join the Admitted student Facebook group or something but again, nothing about a portal. I have the AccessIT account set up from when I applied but there isn’t really much there. It doesn’t even tell me anything about my application status even though I’m obviously admitted at this point.

Hi guys! I got in to Fordham around the same time last year. A few weeks later I received an estimate of my financial aid, which turned out being the same as my actual financial aid. Just thought I’d let you know it was pretty generous- getting in this early is a good sign. To those who haven’t gotten in, don’t worry. I think I read that this is an email only the top 10% of applicants receive. There is still a very good chance you could get in.

For those accepted, does your status say so when you login to the admission status page?

Paramitas - Did you receive a merit package then later received “gift aid”? Or did you receive all of your merit with the SAS notification? Thank you!

Did any international student get in?

Btaylor - not quite sure what the difference between merit and gift aid is, but I used the Fordham FAFSA tool (is that the SAS thing? I forgot) and I received an estimate of all of my aid in one letter a few weeks later- this estimate will include both merit and gift aid, whatever the difference between those is.

I heard people getting a merit award at acceptance and gift aid (more money) later on…Thank you!

Son got acceptance letter via email last night! Admitted to Gabelli School of Business.

Letter states online decisions will be available on December 13th.

My daughter also received an email! She applied to Gabelli School of Business but the email did not specify which school that it just said Fordham University! Does that mean she was accepted but not to the Gabelli School of Business?

D received her likely letter via email too. She applied to Rose Hill. No mention of major or campus in the letter. We are glad for her to have this one in place, regardless.
Just out of curiosity, is Gabelli offered at just one of the campuses?

My son applied to the Business school so I am assuming that he was accepted to the Business school, although the letter/email was not specific…it would not make sense any other way…

Taben, you can learn about Gabelli at Lincoln Center, new in 2014, here: [New Programs](http://www.fordham.edu/lc2014/new_programs_92820.asp).

Got the email last week
2210 SAT: CR 790, Math 660, Writing 760
GPA: 3.8
I’m also a legacy

Still didn’t get anything =(

@Seasonsoflove DON’T worry too much! I called them on Friday afternoon to ask whether or not they’ll take my Nov.2 scores into consideration. The woman told me they they’re reviewing the applications in groups. I think she said the groups were by the dates in which they received all of the applications and transcripts. So, along with everything else I’ve read, I believe they’re only informing the people they really really want. The other admission decisions will be available online around the 13th(2 days earlier, thank God!!)

And if anyone else wants to know, she also told me if they had already accepted me then they wouldn’t need to take my new SAT scores into consideration. However, if they haven’t, they will take them into consideration since she informed me they’ve already received my SAT scores! I’m so nervous, only several weeks to go! Good luck everyone (:

I told my guidance counselor to send in my first quarter grades Monday, but it doesn’t show anything of that short on the application checklist online. You think she forgot to send them since she’s been very busy, or Fordham has received them and they just didn’t bother updating the application checklist?

Stick with the admissions dept. Dealing with that dept can be a bumpy road. They have quite a huge job, and they are not always on top of everything. Admissions and financial aid. They never received things we sent and we had to resend. Sometmes when you call you get someone who is really on top of things, other times, not so much.

If a fair amount of time goes by and something isn’t showing up, call them.

Call or email? I’m more comfortable with email since I could explain and eliminate any miscommunications. I could call though if necessary.

If my student were in that situation, I would have her check with the GC first, to see whether the grades have been sent. I would then follow up with a phone call to admissions – I have had to call to make sure things have been submitted – you will have an immediate answer. The email inquiry will take several days for a response, most likely.

I’ve had to follow up/ask questions several times; it has been so nice to have immediate and authoritative answers.

only the top 10% have gotten an email? I thought i had good chances of being top 10%:
I have an Act of 34 and an uw. Gpa of 4.00 and didn’t get any email.

Could this be because i’m an international student??
