Hi guys,

I was accepted early decision with a GPA of 86.9 uw (89.3 w/o freshman year). I got my mid-year report card today and, unfortunately, my grades suck. My GPA so far this year is 86.5.

Here’s the breakdown (unweighted):
AP Physics: 81
AP Statistics: 82
AP Comp Gov: 87
Calculus: 92
Literature of New York City: 87
World Religions: 90

Will BU think that I’m slacking off? I’m not trying to make excuses, but Stats and Physics are tough. Should I be worried about my acceptance being revoked or anything?

Unless you failed a class, you’re perfectly fine lol.

Definitely didn’t fail a class haha… that 81 in Stats is my lowest grade.

you’re fine. they’ll only rescind if you fail something, or get in trouble with the law.
so stay out of those 2 problems ^ and you’re fine.(:

-fellow BU classmate of the class of 2017

In a letter dated Jan 8, BU told my son that they have received his enrollment deposit, and the only requirements for Sept. enrollment are that his high school must send a copy of his FINAL TRANSCRIPT and graduation certificate. So he is not sending his mid-year report card (which is less than stellar because he was in a theatre production last semester). He will only send his final transcript, which is an average of his 4 semesters. Oh, and they instructed him to pull any other applications that he sent out to other schools.

Our high school automatically sends the grades, but you can sign up to have them NOT send the grades. S has done that.
