My decision to go ED was initially a hasty one, but I am so far impressed in the campus in always-snowy Rochester and the reputation and academic rigor (which I will need, I'm hoping to change my slacker ways) of the school. Just so you guys can understand my background, I'll list some of my achievements, pretty modest in comparison to some:

Syracuse, NY Go Orange!
SAT: 1340
ACT: 32
Rank: 3 crappy suburban high school, not that impressive
GPA: around a 3.8 unweighted
Extracurrics: Track (I may run DIII!), Science Club ,NHS (a joke at my school), plenty of others that I don't care about.
My other choices for schools: Nova, Colgate, Binghamton, SU

Initially, as a junior I got the Bausch and Lomb award (7.5k a year) and decided to give U of R a chance. I've heard that a 1350 SAT would get you a 10k(?) a year scholarship... oops, better not tell my parents. An acquaintance from my high school a couple years back now attends here, and she only has good things to say. Looks like my college search is over, my grant and financial aid money will make the tuition manageable with only a small debt looming. I hope I grow to love my school!

I'll probably study economics.

Everyone else attending should post here, its always fun to meet new people, and tell us why the hell you want to come to U of R.
