So I've gotten decent grades for the past two years, mainly A's, a few B's here and there, and even a C for a marking period, which I turned into a B for my final grade.

Now THIS marking period, I'm 100% sure I'm getting a C in my Spanish class. I got an A last marking period because we had a Sub for half the time who was lenient with grading, but I'll be rocking Cs/Bs till the end of Senior year now. I can't drop the class, and am worried I could get kicked out before I'm really in. Anyone have similar experiences/think this could happen?

BTW I'm rocking A's and potentially 2 B's in my other classes.

No, getting a couple of C’s wont get you dumped by Cornell after getting in. I would advise you step up your game. If you get the habit of slacking off now, trust me, it will get much harder when you are at college. (I didn’t recover from ‘senioritis’ from high school senior year until junior year of college - much to my detriment)

If you get a D or an F, it might get you in trouble. Just get B’s and you’re fine.

same here… I’ve got straight A’s the past two years, but I can tell my grades are going to slip this quarter… I think it is very hard to get rescinded.

Okay this sounds good, I was kind of sure but wanted to double check about the process.

Also, does anyone know if Cornell, or colleges in general, check just final grades at the end of the year, or each quarter/trimester/semester/etc.?

Honestly tho, just don’t worry about it. As long as you don’t get arrested or get D’s and F’s, you will be fine. Just try to get some B’s and few C’s will still be fine…
