Hi all,

First of all, I am so excited to be accepted! My absolute dream school, could not be happier. The one thing I am worried about is the financial aid package that Vassar will offer me. When I plugged all of my parents' financial information into Vassar's calculator, a number came up that was wayyyy off of what we will feasibly need for me to attend. What happens if I can't pay? Is Vassar flexible with reviewing/negotiating financial aid awards?

Once again, thanks so much for everyone's input.

I’m anxiously waiting for my financial aid package for this same reason too. I talked to my counselor, and she said that since we applied under ED, Vassar should be pretty flexible with aid if we explain our situation to them. I have read somewhere that around 5 students each year withdraw from the agreement because of financial reasons though.

Do not worry about your financial aid package. All told, my family should have had to pay a lot more than we are, and would have had to do so at almost any other school. Vassar is very generous with their financial aid. Please, don’t stress about it.
