yes

Hey everyone, so did anyone else receive an information packet after being an official acceptance letter? I still have not, but I emailed the admissions office and they said that no other info is mailed out, its all found on the website. Is this true? Maybe they just said that because there not the office that sendsit out, but there the ones they say to call for questions in the initial letter. If anyone did get it, what are it contents?

I got a Cornell packet with an official letter, some housing info, a brochure, etc. It had a red ribbon. That’s pretty much it besides the initial letter I got a few weeks ago.

Same as paintthesilence, i got a packet

Did everyone received their Fin aid? I have to start turning down other schools today and I still dont know if I can afford to go to Cornell;( I still have 2 items on the "to do"list not completed, even though they keep saying that it is ok, becase they will go away after they decide if I am independent student. I am just worried noone is looking at my app becase I have stuff missing. I am starting to freak out:(

Hey @rewaska, I’m literally in the exact same situation. Guess they are really taking their time with the independent reviews. :(

I just received my aid today, and that’s partly because I too needed to know asap and emailed them everyday. I also had odd stuff on my to do list that was not essential and every time I emailed them they kept sending automated messages telling me it was still incomplete. I eventually got someone on the phone from the fin aid office and they cleared up all the confusion for me. I would just call them and find out exactly what’s holding your app up. I had to stay on hold for 30 minutes but I certainly have greater peace of mind now.

@tranferdragon really impressive w goldman. why are you interested in transferring? I think you could definitely secure a full time offer after your junior year internship, right?

@concerto95 I have been emailing them and they did tell me that they have everything, that the to do list will go away after they review my app. I dont want to be annoying to them, so they hate me and dont give me any aid lol. But they do need to hurry up…

@tranferdragon I have a similar profile to you in terms of gpa, test scores, and school, and I got into ILR. You definitely have a shot

@Rewaska, Don’t be afraid to annoy them. That’s what I thought after emailing them so many times, but I still got the amount of aid I expected.

Has anyone heard from fin aid?

@ayek13 yeah I heard from them yesterday (I was accepted two days ago)

@silverleafresort I was also accepted 2days ago, but I haven’t heard from them yet… What do u think I should do?

@silverleafresort hey I am also an accepted ILR applicant who was accepted yesterday. Did you get an official acceptance letter or did Ian just tell you two days ago?? Also did you contact financial aid directly or did they contact you directly though email?? Thanks :)

You can contact fin aid office both through email and phone, but you get better answers on phone. You may though have to wait on hold for 30 minutes with 10 callers ahead of you. They usually got back to my emails within 1-2 days.

Accepted into ILR
!

congrats @beaccepted2014.

@beaccepted2014 CONGRATS!
