Has anyone else been accepted to FSU through Seminole Pathways and is anyone considering attending TCC first? I did as much research about this method as possible and it seems to me that attending TCC first shows that, according to regular FSU students, you “weren’t smart enough” to get in the normal way. I don’t believe that, and I feel like many who were offered this do not fit that stereotype. Also, if anyone knows anything about attending TCC first, is it easy to integrate into FSU life for the Spring? It seems like it would be much easier to just start out in the Fall with everyone else during your freshman year of college. I would feel such a disconnect with the school if I started at TCC first, and I feel as though community college has never been in my plan, but I am still considering it.
My son got accepted into the pathway program. He is definitely accepting it because FSU was his first choice school. He will do the TCC pathway. Not sure if you have been to see the campus yet but, MANY FSU and TCC students live in same apartments all around campus. My son will be living in a 2/2 or 4/4 style apartment. The have an FSU off campus housing website, many different prices and options. TCC is about 9 minutes from FSU.The first semester will fly by! You have access to football tickets, and you can by a card to use the gym and libraries on FSU campus.Admissions had a record number of applications this year, their stats went up. Not sure what your stats were, but there were many qualified apps. There wasn’t enough room for everyone, only 6200 get admitted. I heard kids with 1370 SAT scores got pathways. My son had a 1320. If FSU is your first choice, do it! Again TCC and FSU students all mixed together anyway.Good luck!
Thank you so much for your reply. Yes, I had a similar score (1350) but I see why these decisions were given out. Thanks also for the details on being a TCC student. Definitely still considering and congrats to you and your son!
can you rush if you do the TCC Pathways?
