<p>I live in Palo Alto (where Stanford is located) and around 5 people from my school got in EA, and all of them were legacy. </p>

<p>It’s probably a once in a blue moon scenario. They probably had some unique reason why reject you that they haven’t shared with you. Did they mention anything specific on the letter?</p>

<p>Admissions to HYPSM is a crapshoot. Each is so selective that you can never guarantee admission into one of them. The OP clearly had a very successful admissions cycle! Only wasn’t admitted into ONE.</p>
