Anyone get accepted into Berkeley without taking any honors classes?

I dont know why people make such a big deal about berkeley. My friend got into berkeley out of PCC 3.5 business major (he aslo had 2 F's). Funny thing was ucla turned him down!

Ah, yeah, you're a UCLA guy, eh? I am thinking about mentioning Berkeley professors on my app because I am much more set on Berkeley.

im thinking of doing the same with stanford, since i'm doing some research with them, but does that -really- do any good? and if you do it, are you gonna put it under ec's? or write about it in the essay? decisions, decisions.

To be honest not at all! I would rather go to Berkeley anyday over LA. I think trying to critique UC acceptance is just to hard. They have their own quotas to fill, so in my opinion everyone who meets the minimum has an equal chances at admission, 3.5 or 4.0

Eh, I'd go to SC over Berkeley.

I know a lot of people would choose UCLA over Berkeley, but yeah-GO BEARS. It is good to look at the actual Berkeley transfer guide. They don't look at apps like UCLA does. Each UC has their own formula for fulfilling "comprehensive review." In fact, in Berkeley's transfer guide it doesn't even mention honors courses in its criteria.
