I got accepted earlier today with a National Merit Full-Tuition scholarship, which was already amazing, and then just now I receive an email saying I was accepted into the Honors Program! Apparently they admit around 18 or 19 people a year into it, so I can’t believe I was actually selected.
Can anyone tell me what the Honors Program is like? Also, does this make me more likely to get a full ride? (I realize I sound greedy when I say that but Fordham’s financial aid would not cover the gap in COA for me.)
@Kk2370 Yeah, in the acceptance letter it said it. Right above the thing about “Your Campus Experience” there was a heading that said “Your Scholarship” and the info was there about the merit money.
Hi! Current honors student here. Being in honors does not impact your scholarship in any direct way, but most honors students receive hefty merit scholarships anyways based on grades and test scores. We have a website with more extensive information on the curriculum, but essentially the honors classes replace what would otherwise be the typical Fordham core curriculum. These classes are with only honors students and taught exclusively as seminars. The professors are amazing and the community is fantastic. Let me know if you have further questions!
