Accepted into UCI: Housing question ... (Please help!)

I'm a non-traditional student returning to college at a later age. I have just been accepted into UCI and after getting the tour around the university over the weekend, I am pretty sure at this point that this is where I want to be the next two years.

Though I am guaranteed housing through the CHP program, I have a little sister who is coming here to the U.S. as an international student who will be staying with me. My family is planning on having her attend community college for the next two years and apply for transfer like I did. My question is:

Does UCI provide, with extra fees, housing to students who will be living with family members? (For non-traditional students like myself or single parents)

If the above option doesn't work, where should I look for inexpensive apartment housing around the UCI campus? Any recommendations?

What is a good community college nearby UCI?

I am not from the Irvine area, so any suggestions on the above would be helpful.

Thanks!

Irvine college is by there. its a community college.

You definitely need to check with the UCI Housing offices with that

The UTC apartments aren’t too bad, 1800-2000/mo for 2bed/2bath, but you probably should end up shacking with other roommates, if that is too expensive. Check here: [Rental-Living.com - California Apartment Communities](<a href=“Rental Living | Apartment Resources to Love Where You Live”>http://www.rental-living.com/)

I’m not sure about the other off-campus places…

Irvine Valley College
