Don’t feel bad about rejecting the school. They know how it works. Also think of it as you are opening up a space for someone else that is wait listed at that school. Best of luck, Vandy is a great place.

Accepted into A&S yesterday :D

Goodluck everyone who’s still waiting, and make sure you contact your regional counselor! I emailed mine last week, and he responded with a simple question, asking whether Vandy’s my top choice. I said “yes” the day before yesterday, and I was accepted the next day.

^I sent a letter a few days ago through snail mail. Do you think it would be better to email the regional counselor directly?

I got my call on Thursday at 10 AM - I live in California. I was practically crying all day I was so happy. And if you really want to go I would definitely send an e-mail (it’s faster and not all the counselors are in Nashville at the moment) and let them know it’s your top choice and you would definitely accept if they admit you off the waitlist. That’s what I did in early April and I got my call pretty much the first day of waitlist calls. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting. Hopefully I’ll see you next year!

Oh and I got in off the Engineering waitlist although since applying i’ve decided I want to switch to A&S for neuroscience but it’s not just A&S people that are getting in

I misunderstood what answer Vandy was looking for, thought they wanted answer within 24 hours - I have one week from the date of email with the admissions offer. Got accepted into Peabody off wait list on Thursday!

^Can I ask what your intended major in Peabody is, Hoopin?

@musicsweetie HOD in Peabody.

hey for those of you who got off the waitlist, how long after the call did the official letter/big envelope come? and did u send in your deposit before or after you got the official letter?

D got the call last Friday 5/4 at school, email from Admissions came Monday nite 5/7. Email from Financial Aid came Wed evening 5/9 and the big envelope arrived yesterday. Admissions gave 7 days to reply regardless. However, the big envelope contains an acceptance form, so you have to wait for it. Call them if you have questions.

You can reply once you get the email because the email has the same acceptance form that the packet does. It’s best to send that back as soon as possible so don’t wait for the packet.

Out of purgatory!!! There is still hope!!!
