Accepted off waitlist, now what?

How do I inform the school to which I committed to before I heard from the school i got waitlisted at?

You send the admissions office an email telling them that you’ve been admitted to New College from their wait list and you are accepting that offer, so you won’t be enrolling at Old College.

They will probably keep the deposit you paid them.

are you sure you want to play second fiddle?
maybe stick with the school that liked you all along.

nothing wrong with coming off a wait list, it shows you were in the game, but others got spots first

i wasn’t my husbands first girlfriend, so zobroward, whats your point?

Well put, Seahorses.

Wait a second, are you saying that your husband accepted your off of his waitlist? LOL!

ClassicRockerDad, you don’t seem to get how the waitlists work. Her husband was waitlisted, accepted a spot there and cleared the waitlist. It’s the colleges that do the picking off the waitlist.

I agree 100% with Seahorse’s advice.

You’re in, and should go to the school you want.

They wouldn’t make the offer if they didn’t think you could do the work and belonged there. You are no ones second fiddle. No one needs to even know you were accepted off the wait list unless you choose to tell them. Don’t second guess this. Congratulations!!

@cptofthehouse hehe. I can’t stop. :D
