Accepted Online but nothing yet in the mail...

My D received the following online the evening of Nov 11 but we have yet to receive anything in the mail.

"Congratulations!

You have been admitted, and we welcome you to the Tulane family.
You will soon receive a formal admission letter and invitations to special programs for admitted students.

In the meantime, we encourage you to visit the Admitted Students section of our website"

Should we be concerned that nothing has arrived yet relaying the admission decison in hard copy and any particular aid or scholarship information?

I'm in the same figurative boat as you and your son. I received the online confirmation last night, and perhaps I'm just being a bit impatient, but I really need to know whether I got into the honors program. I didn't consider Tulane until I received the PA, but now that I see the kind of money they give away, and the fact that James Carville is a professor, it's becoming a somewhat viable option. However, if I'm not accepted to the honors program, then it's over.

I was accepted online a little over a week ago. I haven't received my letter yet though. I heard it could take up to two weeks.

I got my letter a little over a week after I fount out online! Hope you get it soon!

it has been like over two weeks since i was accepted online
but i still haven't received a letter. it is kinda annoying because I really want to see it in paper...plus i want to see if i got into honors college with money!!
its driving me crazy
how long have other people had to wait between the two?

I waited about two weeks.

You guys should be patient! Tulane is one of the quickest schools in regards to reviewing applications and making decisions. The fact that you know you are accepted as early as November is pretty good in my opinion!

Anyways, I would assume three weeks would be a good amount of time to wait, although almost everyone I have talked to recieved it sooner.

You know, you can call Tulane to ask whether you got into honors. That's what I did.

That is a great idea! I actually did that post late last week prior to calling the admissions office on Tuesday. I did not ask about the honors program or scholarship information during the call but should have - I am certain they were being bombarded with calls. The people I spoke with were incredibly friendly and told me that her letter was sent on Monday. I wanted to ask about those items but I did not want to cause them extra work.

I just got my letter in mail yesterday and i live 45 minutes north of New Orleans. Got my online response about a week after i applied. So it took almost a month after i applied to get my letter.

I actually thought that it would take longer. Once you've been around NO for a while, you start to realize that it is possibly the most inefficient city in the country. That said, i think that it is also the most interesting city in the country. If your daughter decides to attend Tulane just keep this in mind, New Orleans is different, very different. Don't expect anything to go the way that it is supposed to. Don't expect anything to run on a schedule. The city just doesn't do that. You just need to relax and go with it and have fun.

We can relate to the nothing is going to happen today mentality after living in Italy for five years. Everything was "domani" and that is not a bad thing.

D got her letter finally today and it offered honors and 24K. She is pretty darned happy as she should be!
