Accepted or Rejected?

So my grades aren't spectacularly high and my GPA is a 3.28. I know it's low, but my ACT score is relatively okay, it's a 33. Is there any chance that I can get into the University of Michigan? All of my classes have been APs or honors, and I'm part of the leadership in many clubs. Do I have a shot?

Probably a relatively good essay, mediocre/good teacher recs, good counselor rec.

It doesn’t look good because your GPA is very low. I have a friend who got in with a 3.8 weighted though, which shocked me. There were people above that who were waitlisted/rejected. Take a shot and see what happens. But don’t expect anything.

UMich now takes whatever weighted GPA is on your transcript…what is your weighted GPA?

At the end of last semester, it would be a 3.4. If all goes as planned this semester, it should be a 3.5.

Umich would be reachy but can’t hurt to try.

Look at the school’s admission stats for the class that it admitted in 2009.
The stats are at [Office of Undergraduate Admissions: About Michigan](Explore & Visit | University of Michigan Office of Undergraduate Admissions)

You have an uphill climb ahead of you.

Thanks for your input :)

Just wondering, will it help that i’m instate?

And what other schools should I apply to? I know that Umich is a reach, and I’m applying to MSU, but is there anything else I could apply to (in or out of state) for business or psychology?
