accepted people stats

can people who have been accepted post their stats?

can people who made it to round2 post their stats?

Stats arent really relevant in whether you get thru to round 2, as they only ask for 3 essays and a transcript (they dont ask for SATs stats until round 2). And considering the enormous emphasis they place on essays (6 essays in total! up to 16 pages! Thats not including the term paper either) I'm not sure if stats are that important anyway even at round 2.

I got thru to round 2 btw

For what its worth anyway
SAT I: 2340 (800CR, 800M, 740W)
SAT II: 800 math 2, 800 phys, 760 lit, 760 world hist, 710 bio

what about GPA?

thats what im worried about.

To temper Yuri a bit...
SATI: 2240 (770 CR, 700 M, 770 W)
SAT II: 800 US history, 650 Math I, 650 Physics

My grades lean on the B side of mostly A's and B's, but I HAVE GOTTEN SOME C's. My class rank is 60ish out of 400.

However- I spent well over 100 hours on my round 1 application, and am pushing 50 with my round 2.

Which goes to say, do not let grades deter you at all from applying. If you are an engaging person and you write well (and are willing to work your butt off doing it), you will have a good shot. Also, it would be a good idea to start sending gifts to level 2 acceptees, as some of them might be deciding your fate a year from now ;).

Curiously enough, I made it to the second round before reporting any test scores. This testifies to the importance Deep Springs places on applicants' essays. I got a 32 composite score on the ACT (high on English and reading, mid-range on math, low on science).

My GPA is on the upper end of good, but I'm homeschooled, so comparisons are hard to come by. Again, this testifies to the importance Deep Springs places on applicants' essays.

Yu ri is incredible, I am about to apply for 2008 so I've just started researching about DPC. I see there only 3 essays required

Tell us about yourself, discussing the most influential aspects of your experience and environment.

Write a concise essay critically discussing a particular book, problem, theory, or work of art that is important and exciting to you.

Why do you want to come to Deep Springs? What do you think you might gain from the experience, and how might you contribute
to your classmates’ experience?

what are the others?
Are you so kind that I can pm me your essays that get you into DSC?
thank you very much

Mastertek, there are three additional essays required for students who make it to the second round of the application process. They change each year.
