I had all my materials in by Sept 30th, got into LSA Oct 22nd, and received admission as a Preferred Admit into the Ross School of Business on Nov 25th.

STATS:
I hope this encourages everyone to apply and to be optimistic. My stats are nowhere near perfect.

SAT: 2150
ACT: 32
GPA: 3.8
ECs: National, State, and Local recognition (in three different activities), Decent leadership
Recs: general counselor recommendation, one good teacher rec and one common teacher rec
Essays: creative

Thats excellent. Unfortunately I was denied admission a few days ago but that was to be expected (3.8 GPA 29ACT). However I remain optimistic for getting in during freshman year.

charlieharper, I also got accepted Preferred Admit on the 25th. I just got an email notifying me of acceptance. I couldn’t find anything on WA about it, even after getting the email.

I had everything in by October 2nd and got into LSA on October 22nd.

Stats:

SAT: 2250 (740 CR, 790 M, 720 W)
ACT: 34
GPA: 4.0
ECs: Mostly sports (Cross Country, Track, and Indoor Track), though I had a significant time commitment to all of these, as well as leadership positions and both local and state recognition. Also had around 200 hours of community service.
Recommendations: Didn’t get to read either of them. I’m assuming that the counsler one was pretty general, but the teacher one was probably good.
Essays: The UMich ones were pretty generic, but well written, while I thought the Ross one was more unique and creative and overall better than the other essays.

Adam E. - about 90 Pre-admits choose to attend, and about 350 are granted acceptance into Ross, so I’m sure you can make it in your second year! (these stats are from previous years)

charlieharper - my accepted was via email. there is no change to my wolverine access account.

runnergirl 7 - are you going to attend umich for sure?

rodney - well I guess I’m lucky then if it helps, my school is extremely competitive and my low gpa is also the result of required, lower-level courses in my school. my ECs were creative and I had some leadership. however, my test scores were otracious … so I guess it was luck! (or maybe it was my essays–they were creative as well)

more info:
I did not include any community service on my application. 0 hours. (I did service, I just didn’t find it significant enough to put down)

You got a pre-admit response already? I thought those came out in April (at least that is what the website says). I know you get the school’s response for admission now … but I thought the pre-admit response came later.

^^^they changed it starting this year… if you got your app in by nov 1 then it takes 3-5 weeks after you get accepted to whatever college u applied to

Hey everyone-
I just got deferred from Ross…does anyone know what us deferrees chances are of getting in? Congrats to everyone who is already accepted :)
