<p>S just got it in today's mail, what a nice surprise! We are considering attending the admitted students reception on 3/29, all the way from SoCal!</p>

<p>I got one of these too! I'm from northern VA. So have we established if this is a likely letter or an actual admission letter yet?</p>

SAT II: 760 USH, 660 Chem
Currently taking 7 APs</p>

<p>3rd, 3.9 UW.</p>

<p>Tbh, not too many activities, just regular stuff like an instrument, a few clubs here and there. No leadership, at least not that I put on the app, anyway.</p>

<p>SAT: 730 M/ 800 CR/ 680 W
= 2220</p>

<p>SAT II: 760 USH/ 690 M2/ 780 Lit</p>

<p>ACT: 34 Composite (Can't remember if I submitted that to NYU...)</p>

<p>Top 5 in my class, I think. 4.0 UW GPA, 4.3 W.</p>

<p>Activities: pretty standard, NHS, Spanish Honor Society, volunteering at local elem. school tutoring kids who speak English as a second language, play the clarinet, some other community service stuff.</p>

<p>Not really sure what warranted this letter...I'm Asian, so it wasn't URM.</p>

<p>Oops...SAT I should equal 2210. Obviously, I lack in the math department.</p>

<p>hmmmmm obviously these likely letters are for those applicants with excellent stats! for those of you who got likely letters, is NYU your first choice school?</p>

<p>wanna get REALLY nervous, there's aguy with another topic that found out he got rejected (his mom called) with near perfect SAT's and GPA. He got into Yale I think though</p>

<p>I, too, got into NYU. Too bad it's closer to me than my HS, which is also in the City (I'm from Brooklyn).</p>
