Hey guys, so I've created this thread for those who got accepted or rejected to UCF. I have not recieved any word from the university just yet, but I was just curious. Can you guys state your Acceptance/Rejection, state of residence, and possibly your stats (it can help other applicants to see where they stand in terms of ranges). Thanks, Congrats, and Good Luck to all those UCF hopefuls =)

Accepted
FL Resident (Live less than 10 miles from UCF)
3.763 GPA (Easy classes until senior year, now 4 AP’s)
28 ACT 1190 SAT
80 hours of community service
~20 hr/wk job

Rofl, look at who’s worried now, haha. I still have yet to send in my transcript or finish my essay. I always feel like the essay is too cliche, but it may just be me. Still waiting anxiously for my ACT scores… Might just send in my application now though. An admission representative from UCF might be coming to my school within a month. This process is so stressful! Good luck to everyone that’s applying and congrats to those that are accepted already! I’m totally jealous! Really!

my daughter…
Accepted
FL Resident (Boca Raton, FL - about 2.5 hours from the school)
3.7 unweighted GPA (mostly A’s, a B or two until senior year, now 2 or 3 AP’s)
25 ACT 1140 SAT
a buzillion hours of community service / 3 EC’s relating to her intended major
~20 hr/wk p/t job she has held since Jan 2006

Not accepting yet…waiting to see what happens with other schools, financial aid etc.

2Black69 & Loony2nz- thanks for your stats and congrats! Gosh…I hope it isn’t horribly difficult for out of staters!

Mizzxvii- Lol, can you blame me?! Yeah, send your application ASAP and transcripts as well. If you want me to read over your essay or anything, just IM me =). UCF is visiting you?! They are visiting NJ too!!! I got an email from them and like yelled with excitement. Admissions officers are supposed to come at the end of October and I’m going to reserve my seats to this info session. I am so excited…wow, I am such a nerd =P

But yeah, good luck to all (once again haha).

still waiting…very anxiously lol

my first choice school
Sat is 970 VERY low just took ACT get scores back next week. taking SAT again in Nov
i applied to summer so im hoping my chances will go up. my essay was amazing and mailing L.O.R. today.
about 100 hrs of community service. i only applied with everything a week ago and i am slowly dying lol.

JTaylor104- Keep us updated, whether if you got accepted or not! My stats are similar to yours, but my SAT is slightly lower sighs, and UW GPA is slightly higher, along with class rank being higher.

It takes more than a week to get your stuff evaluated. It took me three weeks after sending in my stuff to get my decision. But your test scores are a little low =/ so they may take more time deciding with you or may await for your ACT to see where you stand. Not trying to scare anyone but every year, colleges get harder to get into, even UCF and USF. Last year a friend of mine got deferred then turned down with a 3.0-something unweighted GPA and a low 1000 SAT score.

but take this with a grain of salt because each individual case is different. Some guy from my school got into UF with a very low SAT score, first time 890 then second time just barley over 1000, but he was in IB and there are other reasons … while a friend of mine got turned down from UF with a 4.5 GPA and a 1300 SAT and 33 ACT. But for the most part you all should have a solid chance of getting in. good luck! go knights!

futureknight: First, I would love to say Congratulations and Good Luck. I’m sure you will do fine. Have you took a tour of the Campus yet? If not, wait, it’s beautiful.

Congrats Futureknight! I didn’t think you had anything to worry about anyways, especially with a 28 ACT! Did you planned on starting during summer term, or did you think that your scores weren’t high enough for fall?

Taylor- That isn’t too bad in my opinion either! I’m in no place to talk about low scores anyways. =/ I hope you get accepted, so I can still have some hope! I’m applying for fall, hoping they’ll offer me summer, haha.
