Accepted/Rejected 2010

I mean deferred, when do the schools tell you that you are rejected or accepted?

I think UNF starts sometime in January 2010

EDIT: [Freshman Admissions](UNF: Freshman Admissions Information)

oolpooli, u do have a chance…if you double both your scores. get around a 1750/2400 and then we’ll c. lol Cus thats my only chance too.

Christyki- Do you have a really high GPA? I keep on hearing people with lower scores getting accepted fall term and it’s bugging me, even though I don’t plan on going to UNF…

I submitted my application Dec 5, and just checked a few hours ago and they just got my transcript, how long do you think it will take for them to make a decision? I’ve read through previous posts and some heard the next day, some the same day, some not even for a few weeks! Does it depend on your scores? Or is it just totally random? I’m sorry but the wait is KILLING me!! I must have checked it 20 times since they got my transcript lol

sjersey 3010 - What school are you referring to? I thought all the schools that have ED have a schedule they follow.

sjersey3010- I think it’s random, unless you have like really good stats. Some people got a decision within a week!

countrykickboxer- UCF for fall 2010
mizzxvii- lol ahh okay! yea my stats are average, so i guess i’ll just have to keep waiting :(

sjersey, i don’t know if you posted your stats before but this thread is 18+ pages long.

What are your stats?

I got accepted!!!
it took them forever to give me a decision!

A “friend” of mine just got in… I’m surprised. He made about straight Bs and Cs in every class, with the occasional D. His SAT score was in the high 1600s or low 1700s… All he really does is play soccer, smoke weed, and get high for his ECs.

When is it too late to apply for dorming and actually getting the dorm that you prefer? =/

Considering there’s only enough housing to accomodate for about 1/5 of the amount of students at UCF… I’d imagine you’d have to apply ASAP. I applied the day the housing application went online.

Thanks Bonafide… I have a few questions before putting a deposit on dorms and everything.

When I go to apply for summer 2010, it says “A space located on the Orlando Main Campus for summer 2010. Summer B students will be living in the Nike and Hercules Communities. A limited number of students may be placed in the Lake Claire Apartments or Towers at Knights Plaza.”

Does that mean that we actually don’t get to choose where we want to live? And are all the dorms listed above a double room? How do they select roommates? Is it totally random?

Also, if I’m getting the Bright futures that used to pay 75% (not sure how it’s calculated now) and financial aid, how does all that work out towards my tuition? Will there be enough money to go towards dorming or books? Sorry, just gotta make sure everything is in place before making any hasty decisions.

Mizzxvii, I can tell you that if there is an opportunity for you go choose where you would prefer to live, they will give you that option. Nike and Hercules are doubles but Lake Claire and Towers are quad apartments. There will be an opportunity where you can request a roommate if you have someone you want to room with. If not the selection will be random. As far as Bright Futures, I don’t believe they pay for summer sessions but you should go to the website and read everything you can about the different types of financial aid. I know that in the fall and spring, if you have bright futures and other financial aid awards, they are all applied to tuition, dorm and then whatever is left over they will refund to you for whatever needs you may have.

If you are going for Summer, I suggest Nike or Hercules, they are closer to the pool and gym, a great source for meeting others. Lake Claire and Towers are farther away and in a much quieter area in the Summer. Although Lake Claire and Towers are ideal for Fall and Spring.
