Hi we are trying to decide on summer or fall. What do you think chances for fall are? 3.8 weighted GPA. dual enrolled, graduating with AA. Eagle scout, leadership, part time job for 2 years, NHS. 1060 SAT 22 ACT. Thanks for your help

You can apply to Honors whenever you want, some people apply to UCF and Honors at the same time. But i wasnt even aware of the honors college until after i got into UCF so i applied (and got accepted) about a month after being accepted by UCF. If you dont apply on your own before getting accepted by UCF, theyll mail you an honors packet with an application if you’re interested.

I dont think they have different standards for OOS students, everyone is looked at equally thru the honors application process. however, if u wanna get an accurate read how u measure up with everyone try converting ur GPA to UCF GPA which is done using only ur core classes, thats the GPA they go by when judging everyone so everyone is on a level playing field. What are your stats though pixeljig? The incoming freshman class of 2009 for Honors had an average UCF GPA of 4.2 and SAT of 1373.

OSS have a harder time getting in actually just like if a FL students tried to apply to NYU.

mathmaticain(sorry i spelled that wrong) while his test scores are a little low to the average student his grades and e.c. seem good so i would say apply fall. what is his unweighted gpa.

so this upcoming friday the 9th will be 4 weeks. they need to get my ACT scores!!! i think onve they get those they will admit me for summer. I have everything else in so hopefully the day afer they get them i will be set.

Hey guys! Just wanted to let you guys know that I got in! Weehew!

I have a question though, do they list offered scholarships/financial aid on the myUCF website?

Bonafide,

Suggest that you check out the Bright Futures website to understand the scholarships that the STATE of FL will provide for you.

[Florida Student Scholarship & Grant Programs](http://www.floridastudentfinancialaid.org/ssfad/home/uamain.htm)

Then, check out the UCF scholarship website to see what they might have for incoming freshman

[Student Financial Assistance, UCF](http://finaid.ucf.edu/scholarships/list.html)

Good Luck

Bonafide, My son received notification that he had received a scholarship from UCF about 3-4 weeks after being accepted. He received a letter in the mail and it was also posted on the myucf website.

made mistake this upcoming fri. will be 3 weeks not 4

Yay! Finally accepted after applying around 7 weeks ago!

PA resident
3.75 weighted GPA
1170 sat
good resume

so i called the ACT people and they said UCF had just recived my ACT score last night so hopefully an admissions descion comes soon

Just saw that I was accepted in my status on the myucf page and I was wondering how long I should wait before accepting, because I wanted to see if I was accepted by UF.

I dont understand where on the my.ucf page that you can find out if you have been accepted. Does it say it on the application status page?

Yes, gabriels, it shows up on the undergraduate admission status page. Should say at the top of it.

Chromeboy, you do not have to accept right away. You can wait until spring after you find out if you’ve been accepted to other schools. May 1st is a deadline. However, if you have any scholarship money showing up as being offered to you, you will need to go on and signify that you wan’t to wait on making that decision. You are allowed to do that. There are buttons that say something like accept, decline, or “defer,” maybe?

zebes

just to add to what zebes already stated for chromeboy, ya u dont have to accept right away. the deadline is all the way in may and u wanna first see how much aid each school offers you. additionally, its gonna be a while for u to get notice from UF because unlike UCF who offers rolling admission, UF just has one date to notify all students and its all the way in February.

Congrats Chromeboy!

Did you get accepted to summer or fall and what were your stats?

Well checked this morning and UCF FINALLY got my ACT scores!!! So im hopin a 23 is good enough for summer.

Accepted for Fall '10

Stats were pretty crappy though:
3.23 Unweighted
3.69 Weighted
3 AP Classes(Block schedule)
Only 2 Extra curriculars- included robotics and First priority
1220 SAT reading/Math
24 ACT
Dunno if it mattered or not but I have vocational classes that I’m going to be certified in.

I’ll probably just go ahead and pay the $200 fee since I know that I probably won’t get into UF.

Your ACT is good though thats why. your gpa though is ok.

Depends did you apply for summer of fall for UF and also helps if you in state or OOS

Well, seeing someone with a lower GPA getting accepted makes me feel a little better, Lol. I think what got him in was his SAT score. Congrats!! Spots are going quickly… I should probably start applying now.

lol i just realised i wrote ACT instead of SAT my bad. i know what you mean i know 2 people who have already gotten in in my ap lit class. but mizzxvii YES APPLY NOW! even if your waiting for you new ACT i mean the worst they can do is defer you and than your like
bam look at my new scores
lol
