General Comments/Congratulations/etc: I hope a lot of you get in tomorrow

Where should I attend guys? Univ. of MIchigan or UNC-Chapel Hill. I got into both but UM is sooooo cold. Are any of you considering Chapel Hill?

Dulce, why'd you turn off your PMs? I was actually going to send you a legit one. I may hate you, but I love Mich and was going to tell you great stuff about it because the three schools I tell everyone to go to are Penn, Stanford, and Mich.

When you think about it, deferred applicants actually have a better chance of getting in than normal RD applicants. Only 12% of deferred ED applicants get in. BUT the ones who are accepted are probably the ones who continued to actively pursue admission (i.e. writing deferral letters, taking extra classes, extra recs, awards updates, etc.), and probably only about half to two thirds of deferred applicants will do that. so if 50-66% of deferred applicants follow up after deferral and 10% of the accepted ED deferress are accepted, then the acceptance rate for ED deferrees who conitinue to pursue admission is probably somewhere int he 20-25% range.

Maybe i'm wrong, but this makes sense to me.

dulce...did you get accepted to a place called the siberian institute for idiots-who-think-to-much-of-themselves-and-can't-let-go? I think that's the perfect place for you to attend. i am sure you will enjoy the weather there also.

haha rejected too! I'm actually giddy, because now I know for sure I'm going to NYU Stern!
Seriously, Wharton was ridiculous this year, with even more RD apps. And they can only fill 200 spots, so add the internationals, athletes, superstars, and such, that's like 100 spots nationwide!!
