Hey all,
I am really glad that I found this forum. Seems real swell. I live in the Minnesota and have dreams of attending UCSB. I know the guidelines for admissions and I easily meet them, at least the minimum UC score, however, I would like to get a pulse from people that actually applied and if they got accepted or rejected.

So, if you would, please post:
1) Accepted/Rejected.
2) SAT/ACT, SAT II test scores
3) GPA. I'm not familiar with the "UC GPA" weighted thing. If somebody could explain that to me I'd be delighted.
4) Any other interesting facts that you believe are relevant to admissions.

I am a high school junior right now. I have a 3.77 GPA (updated maybe December?) and after this term (and junior year) I should be around a 3.8. I scored a 29 on the ACT, a 1850 on the SAT, and scores to be determined for the SAT IIs. For classes I have taken a handful of "advanced" classes, one AP class, Pre-Clac. Also, in Minnesota there is a program called College in the Schools, which I am a part of. So I have taken two college leveled spanish classes and was recently deemed "proficient" in Spanish by the University of Minnesota, which I can put on my transcript. Race is white.

What are your opinions on my chances for admissions?

1) Accepted/Rejected: Accepted
2) SAT/ACT, SAT II test scores: SAT: 1820. SAT II: mathIIC: 670, physics 630
3) GPA: 3.7
4) Any other interesting facts that you believe are relevant to admissions: band - 4 years, journalism - 2years, debate - 2 years, volunteer work and plenty of it. affirmative action is not allowed in schools, but i'm asian which comprises of only 17% of the student body
