Accepted? Rejected?

Soo... how about that Columbia board, eh?

I am sooo excited/worried/confused about these NYU decisions!! Less than one week!!

To pass the time:

1) How will you react if/when you are accepted? Rejected?
2) Whom will be the first person you tell? Why him or her?
3) What will become your first choice if you are rejected?
4) How much of your acceptance will you attribute to your parents?

and finally...

5) If you get in, what do you plan to do to celebrate?

(Please don't digress in this thread... just post #1-5 with your answers.)

Do a little jig if I'm accepted, be sad if I get rejected

I'll tell my parents, because they are paying for it all

UMich

'bout half, they gave me a lot of motivation to work really hard

Hmmm, I'm not really sure. Maybe go out and eat dinner with the family or something with them.

I will be sad if rejected, but not totally surprised.

I will, much like Cruiser, be telling my elated parents...beause they get to open up their checkbooks and pay for the deposit soon after...

If I am rejected, Texas A*M University in College Station becomes my first choice (already accepted there)

A little bit...they were flexible enough to let me do all the EC's(traveling out of the country alone and such)

Already promised some friends to go out to dinner after I find out, regardless of acceptance or rejection...

Accepted: I will skip my afternoon classes and go buy NYU T-Shirts and etc.
Rejected: I will skip my afternoon classes and kill myself

after accepted: I will drop few classes...is this ok?
after rejected: I hope i will be in Heaven...or go haunt some NYU admissions officers

I will not contribute any however i might have to work to earn some money for entertainment and clothes and so on...

no first choice if not NYU

accepted: call my friend Sarah and then other people like my rents....be very happy, i don't know...probably take off thursday and sleep.
rejected: know that it wasn't cos of academics, finish my other apps...columbia/harvard become 1st choices

1) If I'm accepted, I'll be blinded with joy. If I'm rejected, I'll cry til I'm all dried out and then drink a gallon of water to re-hydrate.
2) I'll call my parents and my close friends and then I'll bust out the phone book and starting with A, call every person in it telling them I got into NYU.
3) Emerson will be my new numero uno
4) Some of it. They encouraged me but this was ultimately my own effort. They are paying the bill however.
5) To celebrate I'm going to go to the Outback and get a huge plate of cheese fries and hug everyone I meet. Really.

Good luck to everyone!!!!

1.When i was accepted, i smiled and started mass iming people
2.first person i told was people i was talking to online, then my dad on the phone, then i started calling all my friends
3. Not applicable :)
4. about 5% to my parents, im super self-sufficent and did alot of it out of spite
5. i got too much stuff to do to celebrate lol

Aside from the obvious good grades, SAT scores, etc., what else do you need to do to get into Tisch?

this thread is 5 yrs old

for questions like that one, i find this site very helpful:

^Hahaha, I don’t know if that was intentionally funny or not.
