Accepted Student - Thinking about switching major (From Bus - Psych)

<p>Hey,</p>

<p>I am an accepted student for fall 2010, I got in for business.</p>

<p>With much thought, I chose business, but now I am heavily thinking changing to psychology. Couple questions:</p>

<p>I know it’s hard to change majors, but can I change before I even start college? What should I do? Do I have to take a couple semesters as a business student first then request a transfer? Can’t I just change now since I havn’t started yet? What should I do?</p>

<p>How good is the psychology major at SLO? How competitive? The building’s nice? Easy to transfer into? Learn by doing? Professors good? Job prospects? How good is the psychology program / reputation at SLO etc… etc…?</p>

<p>Is this a smart move?</p>

<p>u gotta take certain classes to switch into that major, and its not imposssible to switch just harder than most schools. 25 % percent of cal poly students have changed their major, so it defiantly is doable</p>

<p>Hey, you can’t change your major before you start school. After your first quarter, you have to go talk with some of the deans for business and liberal arts and discuss your plans to switch majors and etc. I think psychology is just as competitive as business so I dunno…</p>
