DS got his TigerBound Envelope today in NY. Happy for him though he’s not decided yet between, UDel, Binghmaton, or Clemson for engineering. I hope he chooses Clemson, especially after this winter. I’ll let him open the envelope when he gets home from practice, although I did text picture to him. Can’t help but be hopeful for merit aid though (greedy I know). NPC calculates $7500, but I haven’t read anybody who got admitted this week with $. IDoes anybody know if Clemson still awarding OOS merit?

Waitlisted with 29 ACT, 3.43 GPA, Extracurriculars but nothing outstanding (just varsity soccer, 365 service hours, tutor at school, and mentor).

I am not going to sign on to the waitlist because Clemson is not my first choice and they did not offer any money. I hope to give people who really want to attend the chance to attend.

@BigMomma616‌ – My OOS daughter got her acceptance letter yesterday and got merit money. It was the amount of money we were hoping for based on Clemson’s net price calculator.

D just got accepted, also OOS. Very excited, but there’s no mention of any type of scholarship $$. Any chance we might see another letter/email soon with more financial info, or is it always stated in the admission letter? Keeping fingers crossed…

I’m from connecticut and I haven’t received any letter yet…should I call tomorrow and see what’s going on?

My daughter called Clemson Admissions yesterday, they said everyone “should” receive something by the 21st and they couldn’t give any additional information over the phone. Not sure why they say by the 15th then? Still nothing in NY…applied 11/21, confirmed everything was received by 12/1. Applied as a legacy, not sure if that delays anything.

2 of my son’s friends received merit $7,500. We r in NY.

@tedysmom‌ We are in same position. Was hopeful for merit but didn’t see any. From what I understand it should have come with letter.Happy he was accepted as I was starting to worry about that from reading posts here, but without any $ we will have to consider options. This is now the most costly school that he has been accepted to.

My D was accepted 1/15 with $7500 merit scholarship: OOS, top 10% (at 7.5), 3 varsity sports, student body president, etc. She was also admitted to Texas A&M - engineering. She waits for UT.

I still have not received anything. I applied in early january and they said if all my documents were received by mid January I would likely hear back by February 15th. I got an email today saying I could now sign up for my Clemson online account using the ID in my admissions notification letter (which I still have not received and the mail already came today). Does this mean I got in? And should I call about not receiving a letter?

My son got his acceptance letter, but there was no mention of scholarship money. I thought there was a standard amount given to anyone with a 28 or higher?? He had a 29, but no mention…does anyone know anything about this? Michigan State has offered a nice scholarship package…$8000/year plus $5000 toward study abroad. Trying to decide.

Mak113. Yes, I think you got accepted! My daughter got the same email before she received her acceptance packet. We live in Texas…so took a couple of extra days to arrive. Congrats to you!

Woohoo! Thanks. Congrats to your daughter, too!

Are there accepted student days at Clemson? Special tours?

Yes…I’m curious what happens when your high school does NOT do class rankings. My son’s high school does NOT, and his letter did not mention merit scholarship money even though his ACT would qualify him. Does that mean he is automatically disqualified? If so we are so disappointed! He may not get to attend.

I have the same questions…let me know if you hear.

@nstraub I don’t believe that Clemson separates Accepted from the rest for tours and the like. I just returned from a visit on Friday (both general and Engineering Department) and on the main reservation sheet, it did ask if you were Accepted, Applied or just Prospective. I, of course, answered Accepted but there weren’t any special things. BTW loved the campus, and I think that I may choose Clemson over some of my reach schools! (should I get into them, of course)

@Irosy4 My school has no rankings either. I was also worried I would get nothing. I estimated myself around 18-20%. I believe that if your school doesn’t rank, they take your GPA and school profile and guess one for you, but I did get $7500 a year. Maybe they did not have enough left to give out? I’m sorry that he may not get to go simply because of money.

Does anyone know how to change the address they have to my updated one?

I was accepted OOS; just received letter in the mail. 10k/yr scholarship, 32 ACT, 3.5 UW GPA, 4.02 W GPA, all honors classes, 2 AP’s, but not in top 10% of class in a VERY competitive public school.
