<p>Today they said that this year's admitted class had a median SAT score of 1400 verbal+math and only 38% were accepted. It was the most competitive year ever.</p>

<p>Truly amazing how the acceptance rate was 78% for the Fall of 2005 entering class and five years later it has fallen to 38%.</p>
<p>The stats are one of the reasons I’ve decided to go to RPI. I really like the idea of going to a school with this kind of upward trajectory… I think that it will only get more competitive in the next few years.</p>
