Hello everyone and congratulations on your acceptances! I thought this would be a grand spot for all the accepted students to discuss their feelings, inquiries, and other thoughts on ND.

This is a great idea!

This is great! I am getting really excited about next year! I was planning to apply to a couple more schools, regular decision, but when I got the EA acceptance, I think I got a little lazy… So, I’m done. Not applying anywhere else. I’ll wait to see what the financial aid looks like, but am hoping it will be good enough for me to go! I got an invitation to the engineering overnight/seminar. Is anyone planning to go? I live in the Chicago area, so it’s possible. I’m curious about what will be covered.

Props to my fellow Domers, I know we’re all gonna have a blast next fall! I live in northwest Indiana (less than an hour from South Bend), so I’ve grown up with Notre Dame and have bonded with several alumni and current students. Needless to say, I was absolutely floored when I got my letter.

I’m hoping to attend a ND hockey game in February, just to get a chance to see the campus in wintertime (I hear it’s rather beautiful) and watch some hockey (this NHL lockout is killing me). My neighbor’s boyfriend is a freshman, so I might drop in on him. Should be a good time…

My only gripe: next year’s football schedule is pretty crappy (the home games are listed in the packet ND sent us), but I guess that’s a small problem, if that.

I am so excited to be attending Notre Dame next year! @Cheg17 I didn’t apply to any other schools regular decision either hahaha. My brother is currently a freshman and is loving every minute of his time at ND. I must confess that I haven’t looked at next year’s football schedule, but I’m sure we’ll all have a blast at the home games anyway.

I’m sure the football games will be a blast, as long as they don’t play like they’re playing right now. This is disappointing…

^So true

You guys are right, I’m sure the games will be great. I’m really glad that the big game vs USC is in October, when the weather is still nice. Can’t wait to tailgate!

Hopefully they are just saving the National Championship for when we get there :)

hahaha we should all tailgate together. like just us CCers on this thread

Does anyone know if we need to send in a mid-year report? It’s not mentioned on the website or in the acceptance packet…

I sent an email to my admissions counselor yesterday about mid-year reports and a few other things. I’m guessing I won’t hear back until Monday at the earliest, but I will let you know as soon as I find out.

Cool, thanks!

I got an email back today, and he said that all they need is an official high school transcript at the end of the year.

Alright, that’s what I figured. Thanks for checking

Yeah, I was accepted EA and also got lazy afterward too… But I live just a few miles from campus, and I’ll let you all know, it’s looking beautiful with all the snow!

So for those of you who’ve been accepted EA, what are your stats? EC’s?

gpa 4.0. SAT 2200 ACT 34 with math 36. SAT II math 800, chem 790. Student council, pres. math club, 3 yrs. basketball, many piano awards and State Spanish awards. High school calculus and Spanish top student awards. Excellent letters and interviews. Still waiting on 5 more schools. Accepted to 2 others.

Does anyone know how bad our grades have to get in order for ND to rescind our acceptance? Senioritis really hit me hard this year and I got a C+ last semester and will most likely get all Bs this semester. However, I am taking 4 ap classes along with 2 honors.

Accepted RD!

Congrats Jordan!

Today, I decided to (finally) commit to ND (the form has been sitting on my desk since December). So excited to be a Domer
