There are two different options, one an overnight, one two nights (I believe). Fairfield offered to pay my son’s airfare for one or the other but not both. He was awarded the $25K Magis scholarship.
My daughter got Magis as well, She is invited to Magis Scholars Day. Hers is Feb 22, Monday, from 830am-500pm, with a reception afterwards. Parents and guardians are invited to attend as well. We live in NY, so we don’t get airfare 
I understand from the letter, that if you can’t make Feb 22, you write to be “considered for future events.”
Yes, sorry, ours is also the 22nd. I think in previous years, though, it was a full weekend. There is some info on previous threads here.
Received a snail mail letter that basically says the University recognizes traveling to campus for one day might be a challenge so they are offering and extension before the Monday event. Check in is at 3:00 on Sunday and student will spend the night with a host. Sunday Feb 21 - 3-6 events, then parents leave. Monday 8-9 breakfast with host, 9-5 Magis Scholar’s Day. FYI. We realize the two day event is also an option in late April, but I think it would be preferable for my daughter to get a look at the school before that late date. She really needs to start making a decision.
My son has a 3.48 GPA and a 28 ACT composite - best scores= Language 34, Reading 32 and Math 26, Science 29 if Fairfield superstores…would that qualify for Magis?
