Accepted students events?

Has anyone heard anything about events for accepted students? We attended an Open House last year but that was more for those interested in applying. Checked their website but don’t see anything.

We have attended accepted student events for other universities (not Rowan), and found them very helpful and informative. We didn’t hear about them until after getting an acceptance.

II’m going to ask DS to email Admissions and see if they can give any info. I’ll post back here when we hear back He was accepted in December and would like to get on campus again to ask some questions, talk to students etc. He lived on campus for 3 weeks this past summer for a STEM program and really liked the school. The spring calendar is filling up though between work and a few other accepted students days – just want to be sure to leave room for Rowan

I’ve sent 2 there (an engineering grad son '13 and a daughter finishing grad school) and I honestly don’t remember!

Anyway, I’m not the formal event kinda guy. I like to walk around a place like I own it. Son had more unanswered questions and several acceptances, as well as a very generous - full tuition & housing - offer, so we took a day to tie up the loose ends informally. He checked out a class or two, talked to students and professors and a coach, we ate the food, read the school paper, talked to financial aid and admissions, who were quite accommodating. He was sold, accepted on the spot, and had a great four years. Time well spent.

Once accepted, there were more e-mails, some packets, and Student Banner Services login info. There was a housing compatibility and preference questionnaire. Next thing I know, we were moving him into Mimosa and my daughter took his (larger) bedroom. He never came back!

I say Thursdays are the best day if you can swing it. Campus is busy all day, lots of activities (intramurals) at night since there are limited classes on Fridays. Check it out first, but the big lot on Carpenter Street behind the soccer field is the best place to park.

Good luck!

@SpacemanEd - thanks for the info. An informal day would work well for us. He would want to talk to a professor and/or student in his major, but maybe Admissions could help us with that. Glad to hear your son enjoyed Rowan!

The accepted students orientation site is down. Hopefully they will get it up and running soon
