Does anybody know when they will start allowing reservations for accepted students? I thought that I read somewhere that it was December 8th (?) but I would like to start planning everything as soon as possible since I have to fly in!
Also, is it better to attend on a weekday or a Saturday?
Thank you!
It doesn’t say in your letter?
@Trixy34 I haven’t officially gotten the actual letter yet. I just know from the portal and the portal doesn’t give a specific date. Not sure if the letter is any help or not
Oh, let me check.
OK, the invitation says to go to admissions.psu.edu/accepted and look at the Accepted Student Programs section. D Visits are organized by academic college. Doesn’t say when reservations will be accepted, jsut that the programs are in Feb, March and April.
@Trixy34 OK, just making sure I didn’t miss anything thank you!!
December 10
Does anyone know if visit dates will be added for the accepted student programs? The website says that programs are in Feb, March, and April, but so far–at least for Earth & Mineral Sciences–there are only a few dates in February, and they’re all in the same week. We’ll go if that’s the only choice, but it’s not an easy week for us to travel there.
@MountainGrl My son saw the same thing. He’s EMS also (meteorology). He grabbed a spot on February 9, in case they fill up. It’s not the best timing for us, but he grabbed it anyway. I suggest you make a reservation, too. You can always cancel.
That’s what we did. My daughter is also meteorology and we took a Feb 4 date, which means missing school. She was hoping to be able to go over her break, but didn’t want to gamble on whether or not there’d be dates. We are OOS.
