Accepted Students: Waiting to reply?

I just got in SCEA, and I definitely want to go to yale next year. however, i was planning on waiting until after I got my decisions from the RD schools to tell Yale that i was going there. is anyone else doing this or something different?

I already replied!

If it's the finaid package that's making you hesitate, I've found the finaid people very much willing to talk to you about it and adjust. Hope that's a help.

riverrunner's d clicked the reply button immediately. She's sure.

I got in! but I want to wait till Harvard's decision... I am so paranoid that I am scared that they would take my seat away if I don't reply immediately... they won't do that right?

hahah thats exactly why i started this thread im scared that if i dont like reply in a week theyll be like okay whatever REJECT

same fear here.... ;</p>

you cant be serious! that's ludicrous..stop being silly..

hahaha i know it is ridiculous, but all the same that little voice in my head is saying REPLY RIGHT AWAY OR THEY WILL TAKE IT AWAY.

i am going to wait until mid-january at least, when i get my fin aid package

Why do people ask this? Yale's SCEA, not ED, so you guys should know better that you have time till RD to decide... (not trying to sound rude :D)

It might seem fun to matriculate now, but there's little reason not to just wait it out. Your colleagues who were accepted ED at other schools (though they hopefully went with their first choice) do not have the luxury of even being able to see what other colleges accepted them. Plus, though I'm sure this won't be the case for most of you, you just never know what's going to happen between now and April. Your mind could change completely about Yale.

Just take advantage of the unique opportunity you've been given. Enjoy your acceptance (they are NOT going to take it away) and know that you can at least have some fun waiting to see what other favorite schools of yours wanted you.
