Has anyone received emails regarding accepted student events? My daughter got one about a video chat, but I saw on the Bard Class of 2015 facebook that some kids are sitting in on classes, etc. as accepted students. I wonder if we’re missing out. What have you heard?

I’ve volunteered to make phone calls to accepted students’ parents (you may even be on my list!) There is an Open House for accepted students on April 16. Other than that there is nothing formal - I’m sure you could go visit anytime and have your daughter attend classes. My son did that, and he met with a number of professors. W planned it around a concert - you could plan a visit around some dance performances.

Thanks SpiritManager. (I PM’d you, too.) I’m glad to hear about the April 16th Open House. I’ll put it on my calendar. Weekends fill up fast in the Spring. I don’t know that my daughter will want to attend a class (She attended two when she was deciding to apply), but I think seeing a dance performance would be great. I’ll look on their calendar to see when they are.

@danceclass It looks like the weekend starting Friday March 11th there is a whole series of moderation dance concerts. That would be generally sophomores who are presenting their case for admission into the program. [Dance Program | Events](http://dance.bard.edu/events/) Later in the semester will be more of the upper division concerts.

(Here’s what it says on the website about the moderation concerts: During the second semester of the sophomore year, the student moderates into the dance program after their original choreography is produced for the mid-term dance concert.)

There is also dance performance on April 17 & 18. I know because my D is performing in it. :-)

Thanks, that sounds like a good introduction into the dance program.
Irvinemom, I hope I get to see your daughter dance.

And good luck to your D danceclass!

Hey, I am an international student. I have not received anything via mail but I had an email from the human rights project. Does this mean I am not accepted?

Did you receive a letter of acceptance? Cause if you did it means you’re in, but I think this email was sent to everyone that registered on the bard newsmail.

the email is sent to everyone because you provided your email on the application so thats what they do (as with every college)

Does anyone know when EA accepted students get FA information?

Our letter said financial aid packages would be mailed at the end of March.

ughhh why so long?!

I haven’t received any letter from them yet…maybe it’s gonna be a rejection…i’m an int’l student…did any int’ls receive anything yet?

i was accepted EA and have no idea what to expect for financial aid, it’s more than a bit nerve wracking. and the wait has not helped…
anyone on this thread going to attend admitted students day?

I’m international, I got my letter of acceptance but I applied early. If you applied regular it’s normal, letters get send out at the end of the month.

My daughter and I will be at accepted students day. I’m looking forward to getting a look at the dorms.

When we visited on accepted students day, the only dorms we saw were the new toasters…which ended up being where D2 was assigned. However, they don’t seem to emphasize seeing all of the potential dorms where you might be assigned.

Yes, I’m not expecting them to show us the least desirable ones. My daughter’s not picky though. She’s good at roughing it.

for anyone who cares - got my EA/deferral decision today – im in :)

i live outside of boston. good luck to everyone else!
