Accepted thread 2012

Decisions are in at least for the deferred
Was deferred first, just got accepted!
OOS, normas stats, great ECs, essays and recommendation
good luck to everyone

Normal stats? Normal for College Confidential or normal for the average bright American high school student? Anyway, congratulations to you.

Thank you for your best wishes, and I guess is "normal" for CC
stats: 32 ACT, 740 M, 710 CR, and 650

Congratulations on getting in!

What does it say on the application summary page? Does it note that you were deferred and then accepted (I was deferred also)?

I'm surprised you were deferred to begin with.

Congrats! I also got admitted today!!

I got in RD.

lower ACT (27) and SAT (1840)
Good EC's (consistency and leadership positions over quantity)
Interesting Essays
Good/Great Recs
IB Diploma Candidate and 4 AP tests
3.4 ish UW GPA

I am surprised you were deferred too Multitasker...those are some impressive scores

Humbly, I am surprised too on one hand, but there were many of you who also had better stats, so I waited, hoping to get in. Thank you all for your good wishes.
I think just about every college is setting new standards to all of us, and really is impossible to guess who will be in or not. In any case, I think that because in the increase in the number of apps everywhere, schools may defer or deny the entrance to very qualified students.
OOS may play a role too. Wish you all good luck!!!

For those who heard yeserday -- dio you have an idea when the acceptance was posted, that is, did you check in the morning and have nor response, then check later and have good news?

Also, what did it say just prior to acceptance; we read "Complete, ready for review" here. Is there also an "under review"?

Finally, did anyone get accepted RD to Harpur -- or are you all Business school?

Thanks! And congrats to all who have gotten the good news!

Congratulations!
I got in RD yesteray too! I am excited!!

My son was accepted RD to Harper.

Ford - I don't not believe there is an "under review" choice. Just the "ready for review" and then the decision.

And tymeflysby -It's Harpur. But congrats to all accepted RD!

You are kidding with the correction.....

Is anyone from a school where a lot of people applied? Have they already heard or almost everyone is still waiting for decisions? And those who are accepted - when did you apply?

Please respond to dancinggirl's questions!

Also -- did anyone check at one point during the day, no decision, and later that day there was a decision?

I'm trying to figure out whether they post these throughout the day or just at night...

Mine was to Harpur, I am from Colorado so for me I was the only one at my school who applied (most people don't know what SUNY stands for lol).

I didn't check often I had a habit of checking all of them once a week except one that is my first choice and I still haven't heard from them so I don't know about the changing thing Ford1998, Also Ford... I've got an inkling that it was something like "Complete - awaiting review" then they took off the awaiting review bit and then then the next stage was "Accepted - Congratulations" ... but I might have missed something on the thing.

So, nobody has heard anything in DAYS? Share the good news!!

Thanks for your response, Play-Doh.

ACCEPTED yesterday!! Very excited, but it's so surreal when you find out online and haven't received the letter in the mail. I would assume info about the enrollment deposit is included in this, because I can't find any firm information on how to submit the deposit on the website?

k8thegreat, congratulations on your acceptance! If you wouldn't mind posting your stats and what school you got into that would be great!

thanks titanium! I was accepted into Watson for Engineering, but haven't decided exactly which type yet. As for my stats umm...

3.56 ish GPA
700 M, 630 CR, 680 W
8 AP classes total

I guess that's it. I think one of the main reasons I was accepted was do to the whole "women in engineering" thing
