Accepted thread 2012

Accepted.

3.7gpa, 1520 M/V SAT, Program: Watson Lower Division

Ok, I guess it's another wave of acceptances. I am ACCEPTED too! (Harpur)
As for when they are posting decisions: mine was posted in the end of the day. I checked the site in the afternoon - nothing. When I came here and saw that others are getting in, I checked again - decision made.

good for you, dancingggirl! what are your stats if you dont mind my asking?

where are you all from?

I am from New York. My stats:
GPA is 93-ish (a lot of APs)
SAT is 2270; SAT subjects are 750, 770, 750
I am still waiting for replies from other schools.

Same here, I checked during the day and then again at night (around 10) and it was posted. How long did it take for anyone to get the letter after seeing it online?

ACCEPTED!

1980 sat
3.8 gpa
good ecs

congrats stephi!!

yes, does anyone know about how long it takes to get the actual letter/packet in the mail?? i want to turn my deposit in and make it official

I'm so happy for you guys :-)
you all seem to be well deserving of an acceptance to binghamton

got in today
just checked after coming across this thread

relieved but still waiting for privates though

My daughter (who refuses to participate in these discussions) was accepted into Harpur a couple of days ago. Very exciting! Checked late afternoon, nothing, but checked again after 5 and YES!

For those of you interested in Stats:
GPA 3.9+ Class Rank: top 5% (in a class of about 460)
SAT: CR 650 M 650 W 590
4 yrs. varsity sport, captain as Sr. (will not pursue in college)
handle of other EC's
Solid essay (I would say -- she would say it was excellent!)

Thanks for answering all my posts, and good luck!

Edit: "handful of other EC's" (not handle)

accepted to Harpur!
SAT: 2120
ACT: 32
top 5 % (class 650)

binghamton's not my top choice, but I'm so glad I'm in!

I checked my app on a lark, not expecting to see anything; lo and behold, there's the "Accepted: Congratulations!" I mean, couldn't they send out an automated email or something? Harpur, by the way.

Too lazy to post my stats; let's just say they were pretty good, like everybody else in this thread.

in!

gpa: 88
sat: 2010
sat ii: 700, 690
rank: top 25%

bing seems like a great school. a lot of people from my school are going here, i think.

thesmiths...did u apply to harpur?

I got accepted in late January, but I could have sworn I applied RD... I used the Common App so I didn't even choose what program I wanted to apply to, but I got into my choice of Harpur. I also found it weird that they lost my grades and within a week of resending my grades I was accepted.

STATS:

3.75 W GPA
550 CR 630 M 650 W 12 (essay)
Double Legacy (Mom and Dad went)
A lot of ECs... sports, music, work, religious youth groups, etc...

Jman22--Binghamton has a rolling system, so you get your decision based on when you handed in the application. For instance--if you sent it in by Thanksgiving, you would receive your decision earlier than a person who had sent theirs in on January 15th.

Accepted to Harpur :). Just got the letter today, but I looked online a week ago and there it was!

FINALLY! I got accepted to Harpur. It's been a long wait. Congrats to you all!

Congratulations Kiwikimmi! If you don't mind me asking, what were your stats?

No problem...

GPA: 98.9 (for this semester) but 95.4 overall
Rank: 3/287
SAT: 1790 (extremely low compared to the normal stats posted on this site)
I guess this just goes to show that the SAT's aren't everything!
