Accepted thread!

Congrats to all accepted at IC! I graduated from there MANY years ago but still love the school. For all of you still making your decisions, Ithaca is a wonderful place where dedicated students can really shine. It was my safety school, but once I visited I fell in love with it. In the end, I turned down Oberlin and Holy Cross to go to IC. Have never once regretted it! Got a wonderful education that lead to graduate school at Columbia University. Good luck making your decisions!

I’m still waiting to hear from Ithaca, kind of getting anxious and nervous now… how was everyone accepted? Via e-mail or regular mail?

After attending the accepted students program yesterday, my son finally decided that Ithaca was for him. So glad the decision process is over!

Congrats! My son was there on Saturday also chose Ithaca.

My daughter was accepted as well (we didn’t make it to the accepted student visit unfortunately as she was visiting Tulane’s accepted student program) but she’s clearly relieved after months of anxiety to have picked a school she knows makes her truly happy.

As a mom, I am pretty relieved too–the level of angst was pretty high around here since December. lol

Congrats! Where did she decide on.

Can anyone who is accepted post their GPA and sats score. I want to see my chances. Also how much money you got.

Congrats everyone! I’m so excited to see all of the acceptances. Now that you’re in, head over to my thread where I’m answering questions for everyone! I’m a senior journalism major at IC :)

My son applied early action in October 12. Does anyone know when they start mailing decision letters?

@anghad I applied early action too, on the website it says we don’t find out until February 1st! too long to wait.

Thanks and Good luck to you!

Actually their decisions are rolling I think. In researching this, [Frequently Asked Questions - Undergraduate Admission - Ithaca College](<a href=“Admission | Ithaca College”>Admission | Ithaca College), the early decision notification is Dec 15 so I bet early action people may start hearing after that. We’re curious too. Good luck to you both.

Early action acceptance received today, by regular mail.

Ithacanian - Congatulations! When did you apply?

Thanks, Reeinaz. Application was completed right about the time of Hurricane Sandy – was really surprised to get a decision weeks before Feb 1st.

My son got his acceptance letter today in the mail (I also saw it was on his my.ithaca.edu account. He was accepted into the Clinical Health Studies/Physical Therapy (B.S./D.P.T) program with a nice merit scholarship. We are all so excited as Ithaca was one of his top choices. He applied Early Action and had all of his materials in by Oct 28.

I wonder if those students that did not apply until the middle of November, will not hear back until February 1. Did you get an email that said, check the portal or did you just check it on your own? Also, did you get information about an admitted students day in the Spring?

My son happened to just check the portal in the morning on 12/10 (never got an e-mail), it said he had been accepted on 12/4. He received a notification packet in the postal mail that afternoon. He had checked on Friday (12/7) and there was nothing on IC Peers. I think they wait to post it on IC Peers until they assume you have gotten the packet in the mail. There was a little info on Accepted students days which I believe are Sat & Sun April 13 & 14 (you pick one day) - says you can register on-line. Hope that helps.

Thanks hockeymom12! This is helpful information. Congratulations too on your son’s acceptance! I think it will be a few more weeks until we hear from Ithaca since my son did not apply until close to the deadline of December 1.
