I got the pres scholarship, and I just barely made a 3.3 .
...I got a 34 on my ACTs, though.</p>

does anyone know much about the honors program and its reputation?</p>
<p>wow yeah this thread is making me feel very stupid now i was all excited for getting a scholarship but oh well but yeah i got in woohoo! i'm only gonna give a few stats:
- SAT: Critical Reading: 720, Math: 640, Writing: 690
- GPA: 3.2 <strong>low becuase i had a lot of personal health issues that screwed up my grades</strong>
- Hook(s): i'm a triathlete ive been competing in them for a few years now with my dad (my essay was on this) i'm a member of USAT and Mad Dogs <em>triathlon groups</em>, also i'm a huge advocate for eating disorders and self-esteem issues, i'm an active member of NEDA (National Eating Disorder Association), i've been in correspondence with the Tyra Banks Show discussing show ideas and personal experiences of mine that have to do with self-esteem in adolescent girls and boys, i plan on studying Child Development focusing on adolescents getting my Ph.D. and eventually becoming a motivational speaker and an author.</p>

I applied around nov. 10th which I know is regular decision, but I've heard Tulane tends to do a rolling-ish admissions deal sometimes.</p>
<p>I applied like the second week of october and got in on halloween.</p>
<p>they accepted The day after they received everything.. so strange? I haven't gotten anything about merit aid yet, do you guys know when I would find out? I found out I got in like at the end of Nov. Also, do you have to apply for the merit scholarships?</p>

-EC's: School newspaper (Editor-in-Chief), literary magazine (Editor-in-Chief), National Honor Society (secretary), Mock Trial, volunteering @ public library.</p>
<p>I love Tulane, but I'm still waiting for the actual acceptance letter, and, hopefully, a scholarship offer. If it's enough with need-based aid as well, I may enroll. I love Tulane and New Orleans a ton, and it's close to some family which is great for me. The course selection is awesome. LOVED the campus atmosphere when I visited.</p>
<p>Update:: Got my acceptance letter and the 24k/year Presidential. Yay!</p>
