<p>^ I suppose because some colleges don’t weight the writing section as heavily as CR+M. </p>

<p>I haven’t heard yet, but I know 3 people who were accepted, and 1 person who was rejected. The website says decisions beginning 2/1/10 - 3/31/10, so guess I got to wait.</p>

<p>I’m pretty sure the acceptances have nothing to do with when you sent in your SAT scores.
I was accepted and don’t have elc. I’m guessing that UCI accepted all elc people and other applicants with high SAT/GPA. They probably just accepted us and didn’t even bother reading our essays because of our high stats, that’s why we find out early. I’m guessing they are reading all the other applicant’s essays and they will find out later. </p>

<p>xD It’s safe to assume that their top applicants with high GPAs and high SAT/ACT scores were accepted first. Congrats to everyone who have been accepted thus far! :] I’m pretty sure for most of you guys, UCI is actually just one of your safety schools. :p</p>
