Accepted to Cal, Rejected From?

You claim to have SOMETHING to do with Berkeley, but nowhere have you elaborated. Are you a janitor? A professional kibitzer? An embittered TA who can't finish his thesis? Or just an obsessive-compulsive killjoy? Since you're so ready to criticize Berkeley or people who go to Berkeley, with an air of "Trust me, I know"--I think you should tell us why we should trust you. Inquiring minds want to know.

This is, after all, a Berkeley thread. The kids may be naive and idealistic, but they're not stupid and should by now have learned to check sources carefully, rather than believe any old doofus who posts.

Whatever your real-life persona, it's obvious that you are NOT in a position where you manage or supervise other humans. Your guidance skills are all negative and therefore not very helpful.

For example: Instead of warning someone he probably won't get into Haas--which given he hasn't even STARTED yet you can't POSSIBLY know-- you can remind him NICELY of what it takes to get into Haas and wish him the best of luck.
